	interesting...baking soda never loosened my hair. not even a teeny bit.

	Hmm, weird. I've never heard of baking soda to be used for DC. I've used it to clarify my hair. I usually massage my hair with it, leave it on for five minutes, then do an ACV rinse. It's left my hair soft, but it never loosened the curl.

	I've used baking soda to clean my scalp, but I never leave it on for long. Eep! Hope your coils return.

	OP, is your hair in the front and crown a looser texture? My hair is 3c in the front and crown and a 4a in the back. I'm thinking that maybe that's why your hair in the front is looser from the backing soda. Just a thought.
