I like tighter curls though. I bout had a fit when I seen henna loosen my curls but they came back. I'm curious to find out if your hair reverted too. . .

Hmm, weird.
 
I've never heard of baking soda to be used for DC. I've used it to clarify my hair. I usually massage my hair with it, leave it on for five minutes, then do an ACV rinse. It's left my hair soft, but it never loosened the curlConfused.

OP, is your hair in the front and crown a looser texture? My hair is 3c in the front and crown and a 4a in the back. I'm thinking that maybe that's why your hair in the front is looser from the backing soda. Just a thought.
